DESCRIPTION The COOKE PS945 is a lens made in small quantities, to very high standards, with multicoated surfaces and full COLOR CORRECTION. The image quality is excellent for B&W, color film and digital backs. It projects a sharp, high resolution image at f/4.5 with a soft secondary image overlying the primary, very similar to the Pinkham & Smith lens image. Mark Gershman had my P&S while designing this PS945. He kept the image look and corrected the color by using expensive high refractive index, low dispersion glass which also avoided grinding aspheric surfaces. From about f/11 the lens is sharp with very little secondary image. It becomes more diffracted as the aperture is closed down to f/90. Although designed for 4x5 it covers 5x7 inch format. The filter size is 67mm and the # 3 shutter fits on a 4" Linhof Technika type lens board.
